How do I find my website on the web/Internet?

Your website address location or URL is your own unique location on the World Wide Web and can be accessed by typing it in an address bar at the top of a web site browser. Do not get this confused with typing it into a search engine like Google, Bing, or Yahoo! These are search engines and you need to go to the top of your browser to find the address bar and enter it in there.

To find your web site address location within the Site Right follow the steps below:

How do I find my web pages I just created on the web?

There are two ways to find your web site address (URL) within the Site Right low cost small business website editor:

  • Log in to Site Right

  • 1. At the bottom of the main menu you will see the text 'The final address of this site, when finished, will be: http://www.....'. This will give you the location of your web site.

  • 2. Whilst editing a page, you can click 'Preview' and whilst in preview mode a yellow box will appear at the of the page. Inside this box is a link to the final version of the web page.

If you have not purchased a domain name then your web site address will be similar to http://www.siteright.com/something/

If you would prefer to have your own address such as www.mycompany.com then you can buy a domain name through our 'Upgrade and Renewal Centre' which is available through the main menu.

If you'd like to check which domain names are available first, you can do so on our Domain names page.

If you have already purchased a domain name with another vendor and wish to use it with Site Right please follow the instructions for 'I already own a domain name'.
